I havent read this book but I have watched the documentary on the Nature channel called Communications with KoKo I believe it was and I was amazed at how smart gorillas really are. What I once took advantage of has now changed due to this documentary. Gorillas are really in some ways identical to humans and after you watch this documentary you come to realize that youre just a naked gorilla ... a gorilla without all the fur/hair. I recommend watching this documentary and I think you can purchase it at PBS.org

Children of any age--not just 4-8 year-olds--will love Koko-Love! It is full of fascinating information and photos all about Koko, the signing gorilla, and her family. Its humor and gentle friendliness will move all readers. Its hard to read this book without reassessing your view of animals!
